Playtech becomes the largest publicly traded online gaming software
supplier in the World
Posted: February 28, 2007
In March 2006 the company floated on London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) making it the world’s largest publicly traded online gaming software supplier. Investor interest in the IPO on both sides of the Atlantic was a clear endorsement of the company’s product offering, business model, client base and future prospects. Today, Playtech continues to be successful, growing clients and players on a daily basis.
Playtech is a very unique software provider in that it has developed a unified platform making it easier for players to adapt to. The suite includes an Online Casino, Poker, Bingo, Mobile Gaming, Fixed-Odds Games, Live Gaming, and Land-Based Kiosk Networks which can be freely incorporated as stand-alone applications. These applications can be accessed and funded by players through the same user account using the same username-password combination and managed by the operator by means of a single interface.
Playtech caters to a select clientele. They want a more customized and tailored service as opposed to other vendors. Their main goal is to cater to their client’s needs and really take into account what the player is asking for.
Playtech enables operators to target a truly global audience by designing a product and games portfolio that reflects the varied gaming habits and cultural diversities of players from different countries and backgrounds. All of their products boast multi-currency support and a variety of European, Asian and other languages expertly translated.
Their clients include successful online operators who migrated their systems to the Playtech platform and include successful brands such as
clubdicecasino.com, and leading sportsbooks. Playtech’s current focus is on Europe and Asia. In the UK, the company has managed to strengthen its foothold in the ever growing sportsbook industry, adding to its list of clients such household names as bet365, the Tote, Betfred, the Leisure and Gaming group, and UK Betting.
